PTI calls off Karachi rally after fight erupts among its supporters

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf  had to call off its 'Foundation Day ' rally  in Karachi after a fight erupted among its supporters during the MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh's address at Gulshan-e-Iqbal's Mangal Bazaar ground on Sunday. PTI's power show in Karachi didn't go as planned. It failed to display discipline and unity.  The situation turned sour after a group of supporters started chanting slogans against party leaders after MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh came to address the party’s 23rd Youm-e-Tasees (Foundation Day). The 'Foundation Day' convention turned violent after the supporters, who indulged in heated arguments, started throwing chairs at one another and some even pelted stones. Coastal cleanup drive conducted to conserve marine life, reduce plastic pollution

KARACHI: “Plastic pollution is damaging our freshwater bodies and oceans. It is posing a serious threat to both freshwater and marine life. Therefore, we need to take up this issue seriously and act now otherwise we will lose rich biodiversity in a very short span of time”. This was stated by speakers during a briefing session at a coastal cleanup drive initiated by WWF-Pakistan in collaboration with a commercial organization at Sea View, Clifton, Sandspit and Hawksbay beaches in the city on Saturday. Woman tortured, chained by husband in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN: A woman allegedly chained and brutally tortured by her husband was recovered by police here on Sunday. As per reports, the woman was recovered from a village in Pakpattan who had been brutally tortured by her husband identified as Noor Ahmed. It was revealed that the chained woman was found after police conducted a raid upon reports by villagers who had informed of the woman being chained by her husband after getting her head shaved forcefully.Moreover, reports have suggested that the woman was looking to leave her husband after getting forced by him to head to the streets and beg while he had married two other women as well. Is attacking police stations a trend of Naya Pakistan? Marriyum Aurangzeb questions

Pakistan Navy, Dow students team up for beach cleanup, plantation drive at Manora

Sindh govt has failed to meet demands: Nashwa's father Qaiser Ali

KARACHI: Qaiser Ali, father of Nashwa who lost her life due to negligence at Darul Sehat Hospital, stated on Sunday that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has yet to fulfill the promises he made. Talking to the media, Qaiser stated that he had appealed to the CM to make an inquiry commission against all unregistered hospitals and had also urged that the government take control of Darul Sehat Hospital. He went on to complain that all his demands remain unfulfilled by the Sindh government adding that he does not wish for his daughter’s death to get politicized but is merely pointing out the unfulfilled promises by the CM. Diabetics urged by experts to consult doctors before Ramadan as precaution

KARACHI: Millions of people with diabetes in Pakistan would  fast during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan but they must see their consulting physician before the start of the month to get dosage and timings of their medicines adjusted, learn about their diet and get information about their schedule of exercise so that they could fast safely without facing any complications.“For people with diabetes, pre-Ramadan consultation with doctors is compulsory so that dosage and timings of the medicines they take could be altered and adjusted. If these patients continue to take medicines as per previous schedule, they may face problems and complications while fasting.
